On Friday 25th April, a team of 7 pupils from Year 4, 5 and 6 competed in the annual Sevens Rugby Club Tag Rugby tournament. We started with a draw against St Katherine’s and followed this with a 3-2 win against Ightham. This then meant we were regrouped with other teams who came 2nd in their original pools. We had a tight game against Chiddingstone and went on to win 3-2. Our next game was against Weald and with some brilliant solo tries scored we ran out clear winners 6-2! We were then regrouped with the other two top teams from across the tournament to battle it out for the cup! Our first game was against Lady Boswell’s who went on to win 3-2 before another close fought game against Chiddingstone, ending in a 2-2 draw.

Overall, we came a very respectable 2nd place and were gutted not to have even given a badge! A special mention to Ivan, Zach and Huey who played some outstanding rugby. Also to Noah and Nia who are only in Year 4 playing in a Year 6 tournament!
