Day 3

Normandy day 3.
Day 3
After our usual petit déjeuner of croissants and hot chocolate, we made our way to Mont Saint-Michel. Despite the rain and mist it was an impressive sight to see as we walked from the coach park. We wandered around the busy, winding paths and walked up to the battlements. At that time of the day we could see land stretching out ahead of us with some brave people walking on the sand. However, once the tide came in later it would have been sea we were looking at.
Our next stop was to the goats' cheese farm at Chevrerie du Mensil. We heard all about the process of making the cheese. Obviously the next thing to do was to meet the stars of the show - the goats! We met them, stroked them, talked to them and all chose our favourites. Bella was even lucky enough to have a hair cut from one of the friendly goats! After saying goodbye to our new friends, we then got to sample their produce. We tried four different types of cheese with different toppings - some were more popular than others!
The evening brought a quick swim in the rain followed by dinner. Then came the big event of the disco and crêpes with a choice of toppings - French life suits these children well, they may not want to go home tomorrow!
