Where is the entrance?

After listening to our speeches, it was time for one final stop at the toilets before heading to the coach. Following a relatively smooth journey to Marchants Hill, we arrived to a brief downpour… and two dads waiting to wave us in!

After an indoor lunch, we headed over to the main site to play some games before beginning our first activities. Some of us whizzed through the air, others fired arrows, some commando crawled through the mud, while others swung from dizzying heights. Despite the rain and hail, our spirits certainly were not dampened.

We then headed back to the house to enjoy dinner — chicken nuggets or lasagna were the popular choices (although not many vegetables were eaten!). Afterwards came the much-anticipated unveiling of the rooms. Following a few lively discussions about who would get which bunk bed, we made our way to the shop.

With plenty of money spent on sugary treats and souvenirs, we then headed off to our evening activity. Passport to the World had everyone racing around and testing their knowledge of flags and countries (Kids Get Lost won) before it was finally time for showers and some well-earned chill-out time.

By 9:15pm, all the children were tucked up safely in bed. Let’s see what tomorrow will bring!
