Miss Jeffrey why are you looking so tired this morning?

After a 4am wake-up call from “The Lads”, Miss Jeffrey was slightly dreary-eyed and a little grumpy! After what felt like forever waiting for breakfast, we finally tucked into hash browns, bacon, toast and beans.

Two groups started the day with tunnelling, where Tunnel 9 quickly became our nemesis! Meanwhile, others tested their aim with bows and arrows. Several people apparently planned holidays to Antarctica with Mrs Casewell after their awful shots!

Then came the moment the boys had been waiting for — laser tag! We explored different parts of the woods, firing lasers and attempting to eliminate the opposing team.

After refuelling with cheeseburgers and chips, we enjoyed half an hour of free time on the basketball court, while others got creative making daisy chains.

The afternoon activities saw some of us channel our inner Tom Cruise on the high ropes, while others swung through the trees like monkeys. Following a quick biscuit pit stop, our final activities before dinner included cries of “Pull the lever, Kronk! Wrong lever!” during problem-solving challenges, testing our knot knowledge in the automotive repair shop, and using our “angry snowman” skills to make jam sandwiches (confused? Ask your children).

Dinner and a sudden downpour led to some indoor downtime before the evening’s final activity — the quiz show! Our knowledge of bones, music lyrics and chocolate bar wrappers was put to the test.

Tonight, everyone is tucked up in bed nice and early, with lights out by 9pm.
