Bedtime Story Day

On Tuesday 14th November we held a wonderful 'Bedtime Story Day.'

What a lovely day we had. The children all arrived at school in their pyjamas, (so did the teachers-even Mrs Pullan!) ready for a day full of storytelling.

During the morning, Rob Parker visited to lead an oral storytelling workshop for all the children in the school. He came in with an array of instruments to use in his stories and poems. All the children joined in and had a great time.

In the afternoon, the hall was magically transformed and a wonderful giant bed appeared. Each of the classes went into the hall to enjoy a story or poem together. It was truly magical-the sense of awe and wonder from the children when they saw the hall was lovely to hear and see.

At the end of the day, the book fair arrived for parents and children to purchase some new books for them and for the school.

Thank you, Mrs Miles for organising and to all the staff who made the day a success and special for the children.
