We believe that wearing a smart school uniform gives our children a strong sense of identity and belonging. It is something to be proud of and helps children feel that they are part of our school family. Our children represent the school whenever they are off site, and wearing our uniform helps them to do this with pride.

We also want our uniform to be practical and affordable for families. We only expect children to have three branded items of uniform, in addition to the school tie: a school cardigan or jumper, a PE house-coloured school T-shirt, and a school book bag or rucksack. Other items can be purchased from high-street retailers, helping to keep the overall cost of uniform as low as possible.

Our PTA runs an excellent second-hand uniform store, with regular uniform sales throughout the year. There is a great selection of good-quality, pre-loved uniform available, and we encourage families to make use of this service wherever possible.

WINTER UNIFORM
(BEGINNING OF AUTUMN TERM 2 TO END SPRING TERM 4 INCL)

• Plain navy winter coat OR school coat with badge available from Horncastles
• Dark grey skirt or long trousers
• White blouse/shirt with collar

SUMMER UNIFORM

Conventional black school shoes (Trainers are not to be worn in school, unless being used for PE)

• * School book bag (for children in KS1: Reception, Years 1 & 2)

• All items of clothing must be clearly named
• Ideally, no earrings should be worn in school, however, a small stud is acceptable. If ears have been pierced for longer than 6 weeks we expect them to be removed on PE days for safety reasons.
• A small watch can be worn; these are not allowed to be smart watches. Necklaces, bracelets, rings and other jewellery should not be worn. If you consider the jewellery you wear to be for religious reasons, please let Mrs Miles know.
• Make-up, including nail varnish, should not be worn
• Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied back with a simple blue or white band.
