Welcome to Year 1 Rabbit Class

We aim to make the transition from EYFS to Year 1 as smooth as possible. With this in mind, we do our learning in Year 1 following the National Curriculum through continuous and enhanced provision. After an input on the classroom, the children with either work in a teacher led focus group or be provided with an opportunity to explore different areas of the classroom that have been set up to consolidate and extend their learning. This style of learning brings many benefits, including that the children should have a positive attitude towards learning and become more resilient as well as independent learners. The children in Year 1 are able to access the learning both indoors and outdoors, using a wide range of resources.

A termly curriculum overview is available below which includes what we will be covering in each subject and will be uploaded as the year progresses.
