Welcome to St John’s Church of England Primary school
I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of St John’s. As a church school, our strong Christian ethos and values sit at the heart of everything we do. This is reflected in our warm, inclusive and supportive community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to be the very best they can.
Our children achieve well academically and are supported by dedicated staff who have high expectations and a genuine passion for teaching and learning. We are a small school with a big personality! This is shown with the wide range of enrichment opportunities we offer, including music, art and sport. We believe learning should be exciting and meaningful and our curriculum is enriched by many school trips and experiences. One particular highlight is our Year 6 visit to France, which brings history to life while giving children the chance to practise their language skills and experience another culture – c’est trѐs bien!
Above all, we are a nurturing school where kindness, respect and care for one another are lived out every day. We work in close partnership with families, the church and the wider community to ensure our children feel safe, happy and inspired to succeed.
